Iwatani helps create an environmentally-friendly society by promoting resource circulation, in which secondary metals are produced from existing products.

Iwatani is recovering stable amounts of metals from resources such as circuit boards in partnership with nationally-approved suppliers in India and Southeast Asia. We play an active role in sustainability business efforts to refine, roll, and recycle such resources.

Sustainable Business Model

Recycled Zinc

Recycled zinc is zinc metal recovered and refined from byproducts produced during the production of galvanized steel sheet and other products. Iwatani is active in procuring zinc sludge and dross from around the world and in producing recycled zinc in partnership with companies in Japan.
