Privacy Policy
The Company regards the safekeeping of personal information (including individual numbers and specific personal information under this Policy) as a key responsibility. The Company handles all personal information appropriately and in strict compliance with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (“Personal Information Protection Act” hereinafter), the Act on the Use of Numbers to Identify a Specific Individual in Administrative Procedures (“Numbers Act” hereinafter), and all other applicable laws and regulations.
- 1. Obtaining Personal Information and Intended Uses
If the Company wishes to obtain personal information, it will either notify the individuals in question directly or make public the intended uses of the information and obtain such information by lawful and fair means. The Company will use the personal information solely for the stated purposes communicated to the individuals in question at the time the information is obtained or made public in this Policy and for no other purpose. - 2. Appropriate Management and Protection of Personal Information
The Company appropriately manages and safeguards all personal information. The Company implements the security control measures set forth in this Policy to ensure this information is not lost, damaged, falsified, or leaked. - 3. Outsourcing of the Handling of Personal Information
The Company may contract third parties to handle personal information, either entirely or partially, within the limits required for the intended purposes. In such cases, the Company will carefully select contractors who handle personal information with all due care. The Company will compel such contractors to comply with all requirements of the Personal Information Protection Act and the Numbers Act; require them to manage all personal information appropriately; and periodically check the status of their personal information management practices. - 4. Providing Personal Information to Third Parties
Except in the following cases, the Company will neither disclose nor provide personal information to any third parties:

・Disclosure is required by law.
・The personal information is disclosed to the Company’s contractor strictly within the limits required for the intended purposes.
・The personal information is used jointly with another party within the limits required for the intended purposes.
・The personal information is provided to another party as part of a merger, company split, business transfer, event involving business succession. - 5. Joint Use of Personal Information
The Company may use any personal information obtained jointly with another party within the limits required for the intended purposes. Except in instances indicated expressly to be otherwise, such joint user must be a Company subsidiary or affiliate. Should the Company receive a request from an individual or the individual’s attorney to disclose, correct, or suspend use of or to take other action concerning the individual’s personal information held by the Company, the Company will promptly process such request in accordance with its established internal procedures. Furthermore, the Company will respond promptly and in good faith to any complaint, consultation request, or inquiry made concerning its handling of personal information. - 7. Compliance with Laws and Regulations and Continuous Efforts to Strengthen Measures
The Company strives to comply with all requirements of the Personal Information Protection Act, the Numbers Act, and other applicable laws and regulations; seeks to implement adequate measures on that basis; and seeks to continuously improve these activities.

The Company will use the personal information it obtains for the following purposes:

*“Products” include but are not limited to the following:

Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), liquefied natural gas (LNG), petroleum products, LPG equipment, power generation equipment, household equipment, detergents, cooking appliances, cartridge gas products, imported everyday products, health products, water, home appliances, outdoor activity products, and other LPG, petroleum, and everyday products - Industrial gases and related products
General high pressure gases (e.g., oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen, carbon dioxide, helium), general high pressure gas facilities and equipment, dry ice, medical gases, mixed gases, and other products related to industrial gases - Machinery products
Welding, thermal cutting, and other industrial robots; electronic parts manufacturing equipment; semiconductor- and automation-related products; pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment; environmental equipment; various machine tools; other machinery products - Materials products

2. Assessing the qualifications of individuals applying for jobs
The Company stores in a database personal information such as names, addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses of those applying for jobs at the Company and manages and operates this database solely for screening purposes during the recruiting process. The Company expunges and deletes all personal information pertaining to job applicants once the corresponding recruiting activities are concluded.

Security Control Measures
The Company implements the following security control measures to appropriately manage and protect the personal information it obtains:

These involve specification of employee responsibilities and scope of authority concerning security controls, the creation and implementation of security control regulations and manuals, and monitoring their enforcement status. - 2. Personnel-level security control measures
These involve the dissemination and enforcement of proper personal information handling rules among Company employees and related employee training. - 3. Physical security control measures
- ①Management of individuals entering and exiting any areas where computers, etc. used to handle personal information are managed and any areas where related administrative tasks are performed
- ②Appropriate management of computers, electronic media, and documents involving personal information to prevent theft, loss, and other such events
- ③Implementation of safety measures on electronic media or documents containing personal information that render it difficult to access personal information while the media or documents are transported
- ④Deletion of personal information and disposal of computers, electronic media, and documents containing personal information in a manner that renders it impossible to recover the personal information
- 4. Technological security control measures
- ①Implementing multifactor authentication on computers used to handle personal information
- ②Granting personal information access authorization only to the Company’s employees whose duties require them to handle personal information
- ③Protecting computers used to handle personal information against unauthorized external access and unauthorized software

Handling of Requests for Personal Data Disclosure
If an individual wishes to file a request with the Company to be informed of the intended use of the personal information concerning the individual in question or to disclose such information or take other action regarding this information (including corrections, additions, deletions, suspension of use, erasure, suspension of provision to third parties, disclosure of record of provision to third parties, or explicit statement that the Company holds no personal data concerning the individual) in the Company’s possession, the individual may do so by preparing the request form as specified in (1) below and providing the identification document(s) specified in (2) (and attorney’s identification document as specified in (3) if the request is being made through an attorney), attaching the postage as specified in (4), and mailing this request to the contact point for personal information inquiries.
- *The Company may contact individuals making such request to verify the nature of the request or other matters.
- *Please note that same-day processing is not available for disclosure requests.
- *The Company may elect to respond to such requests by issuing a document to the individual’s address as specified on the identification document, providing electromagnetic records, or by other means.
- *If the identity of the individual making the request or an attorney’s right to represent such individual cannot be verified or in other specific instances, the Company may elect to provide no notification or disclosure to the individual. In this connection, even if such non-notification or non-disclosure decision is made, the Company may use the information disclosure fee to cover the postage or related costs required to deliver the Company’s response to the individual.
(1) Handwritten request form for personal data disclosure or related action
To file your request for the disclosure or other action concerning your personal data in the Company’s possession, please use the specified form. Download the specified request form using the link provided below. Note that Adobe Acrobat Reader (free software) is required to view and print the downloaded file (PDF). Please note that only the individual to whom the personal data pertains or the individual’s duly authorized attorney may file this request.
(2) Identification document
When filing a request for the disclosure or other action concerning your personal data in the Company’s possession, you must also submit one of the following types of identification documents to the Company for verification purposes (expired documents will not be accepted):
- Photocopy of driver’s license
- Photocopy of health insurance certificate
- Photocopy of passport
- Any other valid proof of identity
(3) Attorney’s identification document
If you wish to appoint an attorney to file a request for personal data disclosure or related action, please be sure to also submit the following documents (which must have been issued within the past three months), in addition to the document specified in (2) above, for the purpose of attesting to the attorney’s authorization:
- Power of attorney issued by you (i.e., the individual filing the request for the disclosure or other action concerning personal data in the Company’s possession)
- Photocopy of the resident card or another document certifying that the attorney is the statutory agent, if the individual filing the request is a minor
- Photocopy of the certificate of registered matter that the individual is subject to adult guardianship or other document attesting to the attorney’s authorization
(4) Information disclosure fee (postage)
Each request for the disclosure or other action concerning your personal data in the Company’s possession must be accompanied by payment of the information disclosure fee of JPY 800. Please enclose postage stamps worth JPY 800 in the envelope submitted.
- *Please address requests for the disclosure or other action concerning your personal data, your identification document, and any other related materials to the “Contact point for personal information inquiries” indicated below. The Company will use any new personal information pertaining to you obtained through this disclosure request process for the sole purpose of handling the request. The Company will expunge or delete the information once the process is concluded.
