Plant-Based Foamed Sheet
PLAiR Plant-Based Foamed Sheet to Replace Existing Plastics
PLAiR is a foamed polylactic acid material derived from plant-based materials developed by Ricoh Co., Ltd. It’s highly eco-friendly and offers greater flexibility and impact resistance than conventional PLA sheets, making it ideal for use in food trays/containers, instant noodle containers, insulated containers, packaging and cushioning materials. It can also be disposed of as regular burnable trash, and the CO2 produced when it is incinerated is consumed by photosynthesis during growth of the source plants, making it an environmentally friendly material.
