Functional Plastics Products
Iwatani develops and proposes various kinds of plastic resin and products from commodity to the advanced field. We developed and supply not only biomass PET resin, which contains 30% of bio-based raw materials, but also highly recyclable aluminum catalyst PET resin.

Resources & Advanced Materials
Iwatani was the first in Japan to offer mineral sands (the general term for granular ores of rare metals such as zircon and titanium feedstocks), and now is the largest supplier of mineral sands in Japan. We also offer a broad range of other raw materials including biomass fuels and inorganic chemicals.

Iwatani procures materials such as stainless steel, aluminum, and high alloy steel on a global scale to meet our customer requirements. Iwatani also draws on its extensive expertise developed over the years to provide metal materials and processed products for various growth sectors, including automobiles, air conditioning, electronics, medical care, and the environment.

Materials supplied by Iwatani are used in a wide range of products worldwide, including organic EL displays, vehicle displays, and other state-of-the-art display devices; rechargeable batteries that move society closer to carbon neutrality; and the semiconductors essential for 5G and data centers.
