Launching a New Service Based on Energia Points
Iwatani Bonus Points Exchangeable for Energia Points

Today it is with great pleasure that Iwatani Corporation (Head Office: Chuo-ku, Osaka, Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Masao Nomura; hereinafter, “Iwatani”) and Chugoku Electric Power Co., Inc. (Head Office: Naka-ku, Hiroshima; President: Mareshige Shimizu; hereinafter, “Chugoku Electric”) announce an agreement to provide a new collaborative service based on Chugoku Electric’s Energia Point Service, loyalty program beginning in October 2016 (planned).

Under the collaborative program, Iwatani will offer Iwatani Bonus Points commensurate with a customer’s LP gas consumption to customers in the Chugoku region who are currently supplied with LP gas by Iwatani’s designated distributors and enrolled in the Energia Point Service.

Iwatani Bonus Points will automatically be transferred as additional points to Chugoku Electric’s Energia Point Service, which are offered customers based on their level of power consumption.

With the introduction of the new collaborative rewards program, customers will find it easier to accumulate loyalty points related to the consumption of electric power supplied by Chugoku Electric, aided by the additional bonus points transferred from Iwatani’s loyalty program, which are based on the customer’s LP gas consumption. Customers can exchange the points accumulated from the Energia Point Service for local products in the Chugoku region or other products and services, as determined by the collaborative program.

Iwatani and Chugoku Electric will stay focused on moving toward the development and enhancement of their services, with the new collaborative rewards program, seeking to contribute to regional revitalization initiatives while addressing the diverse requirements of customers regarding energy supplies.

- Iwatani Bonus Points (Note 1) to be offered by Iwatani’s designated LP gas distributors (hereinafter, “Iwatani Partner Shops”) will be automatically transferred as additional points equivalent to the number of Energia Points twice a year (February and August).
- Customers can exchange their accumulated Energia Points for local products in the Chugoku region or other products and services as determined by the collaborative program.
Note 1: The amount of loyalty points will range between 300 and 1,000, based on customer’s LP gas consumption during a half-year period (i.e. January to June or July to December). The redemption criteria and other details for loyalty points will be posted on Chugoku Electric’s website as soon as they are officially determined.

- Customers in the Chugoku region who are currently supplied with LP gas by Iwatani Partner Shops and are enrolled in the Energia Point Service rewards program. (Note 2)
Note 2: Chugoku Electric’s customers who are registered online are enrolled in an optional service program with a flexible price schedule for the loyalty points (e.g. Gutto-Zutto Plan, Family Time, etc.)
